Printer status is Offline after a hosted application stops printing

After printing from a hosted application, you may experience an issue where the hosted application stops sending documents to the printer. When this happens, you may see the printer status set to "Offline" when you view the printer status in File  > Print Setup.  When this happens, you will still be able to print from outside the hosted applications.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

As a workaround, you may be able to print to your local or network printer through the Citrix Universal Printer.  For information on using the Citrix Universal Printer, refer to How to use the Citrix Universal Printer (includes video demo)

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Log into your hosted application
  2. Print several documents and notice that documents stop printing after a specific point in time.
  3. Go to File > Print Setup
  4. Note that the printer status is "Offline".
