Error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to the completion of the operation or the server is not responding - when committing Revenue Batches

When attempting to commit a Batch of Revenue, users are finding that they receive an exception Batch of timeout errors. They can continue to re-commit the exception Batch until the errors are all gone, but this can take upwards of an hour. They see the exception Batch commit very slowly-- an example would be 20 minutes to process 6 records. 
We’re currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future patch or service pack.
