Linking gift to proposal does not update amount funded

When Gifts and Proposals are linked, the Amount funded from gifts on the Proposal does not update.  This happens from multiple user accounts including Supervisor.  Originally, it was only when the two were first linked using a particular non-Supervisor user account, but it now happens when Supervisor or other user accounts first link the Gift and Proposal.  Recreating the Gifts or the Proposal and re-linking does not resolve the issue.
NOTE: Pledge Payments and Pledge Payments for Matching Gifts will not update the Amount Funded on a Proposal, even if linked.  These gift types are not considered in the Amount Funded on a proposal.  This is working as designed.
