Users are not listed or missing in the Database Connection Viewer in Blackbaud Hosting Services when the database is attached to SQL Server 2008 R2

When a database is attached to SQL Server 2008 R2, the Database Connection Viewer does not show the names of users logged into the database. Users can see the computer name or Blackbaud Hosting Services application server name in the Database User column, but only one user name will appear in the Username column. The name that appears will typically be the username that the user is logged in with. This occurs whether the database is attached directly to SQL Server 2008 R2, or migrated from another version to SQL Server 2008 R2.

We are currently evaluating this issue and will update the Knowledgebase Article when additional information is available.

Until the issue has been resolved, the database connection viewer can be used to determine a majority of the users who are logged in.
