Incorrect Query Results- Querying on 'Class of' for years greater than 2029

The Raiser’s Edge does not correlate the two-digit (‘YY) years after 2029 as mathematically equivalent to their four digit counterpart (YYYY).  This causes incorrect Query results.
This issue was corrected in RE 7.95 Patch 3
Update to the most current version and Patch of The Raiser's Edge.

It is still necessary to adjust Regional Settings and complete these steps:
  1. Set class format in the Raiser's Edge to 'YY by navigating to Config > Business Rules > Alumni Options
  2. On the workstation, click Start > Control Panel
  3. Select Region and Language > Click the ‘Additional Settings’ button
  4. Navigate to the 'Date’ Tab
  5. In the field 'When a two-digit year is entered, interpret it as a year between: [1940 and 2039]

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Set class format in the Raiser's Edge to 'YY by navigating to Config > Business Rules > Alumni Options
  2. On the workstation, click Start > Control Panel
  3. Select Region and Language > Click the ‘Additional Settings’ button
  4. Navigate to the 'Date’ Tab
  5. In the field 'When a two-digit year is entered, interpret it as a year between: [1940 and 2039]
 
  1. Go to constituent record > Relationship > Education/Schools
  2. Enter a 'Class of' 2030
  3. Save and Close
  4. Create a new Constituent Query with the following criteria:
  5. Primary Alumni Information > Class of equals 2030
    • Note the Results are 0
  6. Primary Alumni Information > Class of greater than 2029
  7. Note the Results contain Constituents in the class of 2030
 
  1. Go to constituent record > Relationship > Education/Schools
  2. Enter a 'Class of' 2031
  3. Save and Close
  4. Create a new Constituent Query with the following criteria:
  5. Primary Alumni Information > Class of equals 2031
    • Note the Results are 0
  6. Primary Alumni Information > Class of greater than 2030
    • Note the Results contain years in the '90s, 2000s, etc
