Error: Data could not be saved. The MERGE statement attempted to UPDATE or DELETE the same row more than once

When attempting to change the Inbound channel on a posted pledge payment, the following error occurs:

Data could not be saved. The MERGE statement attempted to UPDATE or DELETE the same row more than once. This happens when a target row matches more than one source row. A MERGE statement cannot UPDATE/DELETE the same row of the target table multiple times. Refine the ON clause to ensure a target row matches at most one source row, or use the GROUP BY clause to group the source rows.
The "more than one source row" the error refers to is the Solicitor.  To resolve the error, take the following steps:

1. From the revenue record, select Go to revenue
2. Select the Solicitors tab
3. Edit and Delete the duplicate solicitor(s)

Steps to Duplicate

1. Go to a posted pledge payment
2. Select Edit posted payment
3. Change the Inbound channel
4. Save
5. Observe error
