First, you will need to create a User Defined Field that stores the date of their birthday.
  1. Click Management
  2. Select User Defined Fields under Database Configuration
  3. Select the Category you want to save this new User Defined Field in (For example, Base)*
  4. Select New Defined Field
  5. Name the Field Birth Date
  6. In the Data Type drop down menu, select Date if you'd like to track the birthdays with a month, day, and year; or, select Month/Day if you'd like to track the birthdays without a year
  7. Click Next
  8. Select Constituents as your field application (do not check off any other boxes)
  9. Click Next
  10. If you would like to utilize either of these options then check the appropriate box (you won't need any of these options)
  11. Click Next
  12. Select Text Box as your Display Type
  13. Click Save and Finish
To complete the data entry for this field, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the account on which you wish to enter a Birth Date
  2. Click the Defined Fields page from under their account header
  3. Click Show All Fields from under the Tasks menu
  4. Click the plus icon next to the Category where you stored the User Defined Field (see Step 3 in the steps listed above where we created the User Defined Field)
  5. Click Birth Date
  6. Fill in the date
  7. Click Save under Tasks
