Nothing happens after clicking the Next button when upgrading The Raiser's Edge

While upgrading The Raiser's Edge from a previous version of the application, you may encounter a situation where you click the Next button, and the installation window disappears.  This happens when running the patch file.
This occurs when running a patch file before The Raiser's Edge was upgraded to the version required for the patch. 

For example, this may happen when running the Patch 11 update for The Raiser's Edge 7.93 on a server that has The Raiser's Edge 7.92 installed.

To upgrade The Raiser's Edge and install the latest patch:
1. Download the full version update for The Raiser's Edge from the downloads page on Blackbaud's Website.
2. Follow the steps in our Knowledgebase Article: How to install or update the Raiser's Edge (includes video demo)

Steps to Duplicate

1. Download The Raiser's Edge patch file from Blackbaud's website
2. Run the patch file on the server where a pervious version of The Raiser's Edge is installed
3. Receive a notice that the Raiser's Edge will be upgraded.
4. Click Next
5. The installation window disappears
