Why can't I select a Title on step 4 of the Name Format Conversion Tool?

The 7.16.0 release introduced Name Formats to eTapestry.  In order to convert the Account Name into First Name and Last Name fields for your individuals, you have to use the Name Format Conversion tool.  On step 4 of this tool you can export out all of the accounts you designated with the Individual Name Format, and import them back in.  But you can also use the Manual option where you can work with 30 accounts at a time to ensure their name is split correctly.

If you use the Manual option on step 4 and you are using Internet Explorer 11 as your browser, then you will not be able to edit the Title for each account.

The 7.16.0 release is being released to customers in waves.  If you do not see the Name Format Conversion tool on the home page when you log into the database, then the feature has not been turned on for your organization and you just need to wait for a later release for it to become active.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

You can switch browsers to Firefox or Chrome and the tool works correctly.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Log into eTapestry as an admin
  2. Find the conversion tool on the home page when you log in
  3. Work your way through the steps till you get to step 4
  4. Click Separate Names to start step 4
  5. Click Use Manual Update in the upper right side
  6. Click the Pencil icon to edit one of the rows manually
  7. Click the Choose Title drop down
  8. Notice has no options to choose from
  9.
