Error: Query too complex. General ODBC Error [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <. <=, > = or when sorting Transaction Query by Transaction Amount

When creating a Transaction Query, fields can be added to the Sort tab to organize the data on the Results tab.  When Transaction Amount is added to this tab from the Transaction section in available fields, an error is produced:
Error: Query too complex. General ODBC Error [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <. <=, > = or when the subquery is used as an expressions. native error:512 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server][SQL Server] The cursor was not declared. Native error:16945


 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

1. In General Ledger>> Query>> open BBTest-Sort>> Run**
**Note Error: Query too complex. General ODBC Error [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <. <=, > = or when the subquery is used as an expressions. native error:512 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server][SQL Server] The cursor was not declared. Native error:16945
2. Close the Query and open it again. 
3.  Go to the Sort tab>> remove the Transaction Amount field>> Run**
**Note: Query runs successfully
