Historical committee member record data is overwritten when adding a second member record

When adding Group member record for a Committee, previous member record data for an individual is overwritten and historical data is lost
We’re currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future release.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Constituents > Committee search
  2. Open an existing Committee group record
  3. Go to the Members tab
  4. Click the Filters option and mark the check to "Include previous members", click Apply
  5. Note: There are previous members with end dates and potentially comments
  6. Click the Add button
  7. Search for and select the member for one of the existing individuals that have ended/expired records
  8. The following warning will be presented: "[FirstName LastName] was previously a member of this group. Are you sure you want to add them again?"
  9. Click Yes
  10. Note: The content will update with what already exists for their previous member record (End date and/or Comments)
  11. Add a start date, edit the comments as needed, and remove the end date
  12. Click Save
  13. Note that the Previous member record is overwritten with the new member record data, so there is no historical data being retained
