Send data to Blackbaud when performing a backup in the Blackbaud Management Console does not successfully upload data to FTP

When performing a backup and using the Send data to Blackbaud functionality in the Blackbaud Management Console, the backup does not upload to FTP successfully and you receive the following messages:
  • 999,999,999 of 999,999,999 bytes transferred.  331 Enter password
  • 999,999,999 of 999,999,999 bytes transferred.  File could not be uploaded.

Instead, zip the BAK file into a .zip folder, then upload it using the steps in How do I send data and other files to Blackbaud or retrieve data and other files from Blackbaud.
