Error: No authorization codes from the payment processor exist for credit card transactions in the batch. Either the credit card process has not been run or it failed to complete - when processing credit cards in batch

When trying to commit a batch that was created by the EFT process in Altru you may receive this error: No authorization codes from the payment processor exist for credit card transactions in the batch. Either the credit card process has not been run or it failed to complete. If it failed to complete check the payment processor to determine whether the payment has been processed before you run it again
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Workaround:
  1. Contact BBMS and get the authorization code of the processed transaction
  2. Click Revenue > Batch entry
  3. Click the drop down arrow next to the batch and click edit batch
  4. Enter the authorization code from the processed transaction into the authorization code field of the batch
  5. Click validate, then save and close
  6. Click the drop down arrow next to the batch and click commit

 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Revenue > EFT
  2. Click add and add a new credit card processing process that creates a new batch
    1. It should pull in recurring gifts
  3. Set up a recurring gift for a constituent by following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyoTj-FEX-Q
  4. Run your EFT process by going to Revenue > EFT and clicking on your process, and then clicking start process
  5. After the process finishes click on the batch number
  6. Click on the drop down arrow next to your batch and click commit
  7. The error will pop up while committing the batch
