Error: An error occurred before executing the process ‘Export Process’: Column names in each table must be unique. Column name [Column] is specified more than once. when exporting results using an export definition
CRM users encounter this error when running an export process if there are duplicate fields in the export definition.
Fields are being duplicated upon saving the export definition when the following conditions are met.
The System Record ID (Constituent ID) field is included in the export definition.
The field immediately following the System Record ID field is an Exist in Selection field.
We're currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future patch or service pack.
Steps to Duplicate
Log into CRM and navigate to the Administration functional area.
Select the Export Definition task.
Click Add to add a new export definition.
Select Constituents as the source view.
The Name field is added to the output by default. Highlight the ‘Selections’ folder, and add an ‘Exists in [Name of Selection]’ field to the export definition. (Example: Exist in “Selection of constituents from GA”)
Add the System Record ID/Constituent Record field to the export definition.
Select the "Set save options" tab. Give the export definition a name, and mark the “Allow definition to be used by other areas of the application”, and “Use short column headers” options.
Save and close the export definition.
Re-open the export definition by clicking the Edit button.
Notice the “Exist in selection” field was duplicated upon saving the export definition, and the System Record ID field no longer appears in the list of fields to export.
