Unable to run Total Revenue and Payments Report with Show Payment Method Distribution

You may need to run the total Revenue and Payments Report for a large date range such as a month with the check box to "Show payment method distribution" checked. When you run the report, you may find that it could take up to 30 minutes or more to run. 
This issue has been resolved in version 4.9. All sites have been updated in May 2016. If you experience this error, please chat with support to provide the exact steps that were taken.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Revenue
  2. Under Reports, click Total Revenue and Payments
  3. In Date, choose a month such as Last Month
  4. Check the box to "Show payment method distribution"
  5. Click View Report 
  6. You may be waiting longer than 15 minutes, and perhaps up to 30-45 minutes for the report to load. The "Loading" circle keeps spinning.
