You may receive the following error when trying to edit an existing relationship on a constituent's record:

Data could not be saved.  Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'SOURCECONSTITUENTID', table 'XXXX.dbo.REVENUERECOGNITIONDEFAULT'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
This is sometimes caused when the reciprocal relationship type on one record does not match the reciprocal relationship type on the other record.  To fix this, edit the reciprocal relationship type to match or delete the relationship and add it back.
  1. Click constituents > Constituent search
  2. Type in the affected record and click search
  3. Select the constituent
  4. Click on the relationships tab
  5. Click the drop down arrow next to the affected relationship and click edit
  6. Note the relationship type and reciprocal relationship type. For example, X is the wife and X is the husband.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click on the constituent on the relationships tab to go to their constituent record.
  9. Click on the relationships tab
  10. Click the drop down arrow next to the affected relationship and click edit
  11. Note the relationship type and reciprocal relationship type. For example, X is the husband and X is the wife.  If the reciprocal relationship type does not match what was on the other record, edit the relationship type so that it matches the other record.  For example, if it says Unknown instead of Wife, edit this relationship type to be Wife.  Click Save.
  12. If the relationship types all match, go to the relationship tab.  Click the drop down arrow next to the affected relationship and click delete.
  13. Then click Add individual to add the relationship back.
