Gifts with Blank Currency cannot be edited

Gifts that have no Currency Country cannot be edited.  You receive an error: Required Field Missing: Currency Country.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Login to The Raiser's Edge
  2. Create a gift query with criteria Currency Type BLANK
  3. Output Gift ID
  4. Open a gift record from the results
  5. Select Gift>Currency Exchange
  6. See there is no Currency type, but there is an Exchange Rate
  7. There is no way to add a Currency type to these gifts, the option is grayed out.
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Save and Close on the Gift.  
  10. Error: Required Field Missing: Currency Country
