Solicitor name does not appear when exporting Gift Detail and Summary Report in CSV format

When exporting the Solicitor name from the Gift Detail and Summary Report in CSV format, the Solicitor name does not export. 
The solicitor name does show on the report, and in all other formats, but will not show in CSV format. This may also affect address and phone information.
All of Raiser's Edge standard reports are written in Crystal Reports, a comprehensive report-writing software. This issue is caused by a limitation in the Crystal Reports software where the solicitor names column is considered a subreport. Exporting a subreport is not supported when exporting to CSV format (per Crystal Reports Knowledgebase).

Alternate workaround
Attempt to export the report using a different format or attempt to create your own report using the Export module in Raiser's Edge.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Log into RE
  2. Open Reports
  3. Open Financial Reports
  4. Choose Gift Detail and Summary Report.
  5. Choose New
  6. Select gift dates
  7. Go to tab 5 - Columns
  8. Add solicitor name to columns

1. Click Preview
Solicitor name shows for gifts that they are attached to

2. Click Export
  1. Choose (Acrobat Format, Excel 97-2003)
  2. Export article
  3. When viewing/printing the Solicitor name appears.

3. Click Export
  1. Choose .CSV format
  2. Export article.  
  3. Solicitor names do not appear.
