Error: The total amount must be equal to the sum of the amounts applied to commitments – when validating a pledge payment in Enhanced Revenue Batch

When entering a constituent with an outstanding pledge installment in to an Enhanced Revenue Batch, and entering the amount of the pledge payment, the Application field will automatically populate with the Pledge commitment.  After updating projected totals and validating, the Application field is cleared.  This causes the error when trying to commit the batch.

Download and install the latest patch which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.

Steps to Duplicate

Prerequisite:  Constituent with outstanding pledge installment commitment
 
  1. Go to the Revenue Functional area
  2. Select Batch entry
  3. Add>Enhanced Revenue Batch
  4. Enter in the Lookup ID for prerequisite constituent which fills in the name
  5. Tab over the date to get the current date
  6. Enter in the amount and tab - the Application fills in automatically with the pledge
  7. Update the projected totals
  8. Validate the batch (observe the Application field is empty)
  9. Save & close
  10. Commit the batch – Get exception error batch with the error
Another way to get error:
  1. Create ERB
  2. Enter in the Lookup ID which fills in the name
  3. Tab over the date to get the current date
  4. Enter in the amount and tab the Application fills in automatically with the pledge
  5. Update the projected totals
  6. Validate the batch (observe the Application field is empty)
  7. Validate the batch again – get the error
