Transaction in showing in Query that does not exist

When creating a sales order query and outputting membership levels that were sold you may see duplicate constituents in your results with different membership levels. When accessing the sales order record of that constituent you may notice that only one of the membership levels were purchased in that sales order
Try adding the following field to your sales order query: Constituent\Member\Membership\Status is equal to Active

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Analysis > Ad-hoc query search
  2. Search for and select the sales order query
  3. Click Edit definition > Preview Results
  4. Notice that the constituent shows twice for two different membership levels
  5. Click Sales > Order Search > Search for the order
  6. Notice there is only one membership purchase on the order
