Event capacity not reporting for multiple registrants

When registering for a NetCommunity event and process into the Raiser's Edge. Raiser's Edge is counting the event capacity by the unique number of participant records in the event module. If the participant name is the same, then the ticket is purchase is added to the existing record the capacity does not increase.

We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information

Alternate Solution
Decrease event capacity as a buffer for exceeding capacity and running RE participant reports to calculate the correct number of guests.

Steps to Duplicate

Jane Doe registers herself and guest for a NetCommunity event. The Registration is then processed and batched into Raiser's Edge. We open the Raiser's Edge event module. We observe Jane and her guest as participants for the event.

Later that day Jane forgot to register a friend; goes to NetCommunity and registers again for the same event again. The additional registration is then processed and batched into Raiser's Edge. We review the event module and still only see two participants for the event. Opening Jane's record in the module and clicking on the Registration Fees tab we see the additional ticket on Jane's record. This additional ticket is not being counted on event capacity.
