How do I prevent or allow duplicate phone types during data entry? (includes video demo)

To prevent duplicate phone and email types on constituent records, you can now set a business rule to prevent multiple phone numbers and email addresses of the same type to be saved. The phone and email options business rule is flexible so that you can set different rules for phone numbers and email addresses. You can also set the rule to allow duplicate types if you prefer, or display a warning each time a duplicate type is about to be saved. This setting will apply to the entire database.

Are there business rule for phones and emails?

1. Select Config on the Navigation bar
2. In Config, select Business Rules
3. Highlight Phone/email Options
4. Mark the appropriate option
