This error is frequently caused by missing CR (Carriage Return) or LF (Line Feed) special characters which terminates a set of data. These are normally embedded at the end of each line of data but are not normally visible.

  1. Open the both the working and non-working import files into a text editor like Notepad++
  2. For Notepad++ click on View > Show Symbol > Show End of Line
  3. Show symbol in Notepad++
  4. You will notice the CR and LF symbols now appear at the end of the line. Compare both files to see if the non-working file is missing one of these symbols.
  5. Manually insert the missing symbols and save the updated file. For a quick way to get this accomplished within Notepad++, please review the following external article: http://superuser.com/questions/545461/replace-carriage-return-and-line-feed-in-notepad
