Queue exporting custom report in XLS format fails

When using Queue to export a custom report on a schedule or on demand, the Queue fails.

When sending a queue status notification via email, the following error appears in the notification email:
Error: Automation error. The remote procedure call failed. 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. In the meantime, follow these steps:
  1. On the workstation running the queue service, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin and rename the usp10.dll to usp10.dll.old
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeXX (XX = Office version) and check all folders for usp10.dll and rename any instances to usp10.dll.old
  3. Restart the queue service by selecting Start >Control Panel >Administrative Tools >Services. Right-click on FE Queue Service and select Restart.
  4. Allow the scheduled queue to run again.

Steps to Duplicate

1. In Queue, set up a scheduled queue to export a custom report
2. On the Miscellaneous tab, mark the option to send a queue status notification and enter the Mail from and Mail to email addresses
3. Allow the scheduled queue to run
4. On the Queue page, select Show Scheduled Queues and note the status of the scheduled queue is Failed
5. Review the queue status notification email and note error: Automation error. The remote procedure call failed.
