Error: Resource shortcuts are currently disabled - after logging in to Citrix

After signing into Citrix, the client sees the message 'Resource shortcuts are currently disabled'.  The client is using Internet Explorer.
Here are the steps to reset IE to its default settings:
  1. Close all Internet Browser Pages.
  2. Make sure you are using Internet Explorer (*the Internet Explorer 64-bit browser will not work).

  3. Click on the Start Button, Find Run.

  4. In Run, type inetcpl.cpl and click OK. You should now see an Internet Options windows.

  5. Click on the Advanced Tab.

  6. Then click Reset. If available please also check the box to Delete Personal Settings. Then click Reset.

  7. When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.

  8. Start Internet Explorer again.
