- Populate the template below with information about your pledge records.
- Save the file as a .csv file.
- To create a new import process click Add
- Fill in a meaningful name (ex. Pledge Import Process)
- Batch template – choose Enhanced Revenue Batch
- Batch owner – Select your username or the username of the user that will be responsible for committing the batch.
- Under Import Source, choose "Local file” in the drop down.
- Under File, browse to the import file you created in Part 1.
- Map the fields. Click on auto-map and then map the collection fields manually if necessary.
- On the OPTIONS tab select “Quick Find” under search list fields
- Click save
- To run the import, highlight the import and click “Start Import”
- Any exceptions will show on the Recent Status tab. You can fix the exceptions and run the import again. IMPORTANT NOTE: Running the import creates a Batch. If you run the import multiple times you’ll have multiple batches so make sure you run the right one
- Go to Batch Entry and find the batch created in Part 2.
- Click Edit to review the batch and ensure that all of the records are correct and have all of the information needed.
- Commit the batch (i.e. import the records into Altru) *NOTE THAT THIS WILL ADD ALL THE RECORDS INTO YOUR DATABASE AND CANNOT BE REVERSED. PLEASE ENSURE ALL DATA IS CORRECT IN THE BATCH BEFORE COMMITTING*
- Click on Batch Entry and highlight your batch created from the import process
- Click on Commit and check the commit process parameters (check the box to “Create a selection” and give it a name)
- Your pledges are now successfully committed into the Altru database.
