Merge fields not matching column headers in Export

When exporting acknowledgements or appeal mailings to Excel you may notice that the column headers in your Excel document and the merge field definition names in Altru do not match. The Excel document headers include the merge field definition's name but also has some other words in the title
This occurs during the export process from Altru to Excel. Altru will export the Alias of the merge field along with the internal name used to identify the merge field so each table gets exported correctly. To resolve this issue you can manually change the column headers by following the steps below:
  1. Click on the column header
  2. Type in the desired name of the column header
  3. Press Enter or Tab

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Marketing and Communications > Acknowledgements
  2. Click the drop down arrow next to your acknowledgement letter and click edit
  3. Click edit next to merge fields
  4. Rename your merge field > Click save
  5. Run your acknowledgements
  6. Open the .CSV file that was created
Notice that the column headers and the merge field names do not match
