These errors are typically the result of the Data Health Center on workstations not being able to connect to one or both of the following resources within your network:
  • The Raiser's Edge server
  • The SQL Database server which houses your Raiser's Edge database
To resolve the issue, begin with the following steps:
  1. Click File > Exit and sign out
  2. Restart your workstation.
  3. Right click The Raiser's Edge icon and Run Raiser's Edge as Admin on the affected Workstation
  4. Log in as a Supervisor and select the Data Health Center Module. The error should not occur.
  5. Click File > Exit and sign out
  6. Double click The Raiser's Edge icon to log back in as the affected user.
  7. Click the Data Health Center Module.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, engage your IT department and have them check the following:
  1. Ensure that the following ports are open for bidirectional communication inside your network to all resources
    • 1433 (SQL Server Communication Port)
    • 80 
    • 443
    • Note that if your organization utilizes any software firewall solutions on workstations that you will need to insure that exceptions are made in those as well.
  2. Ensure that all workstations can communicate with the following URLs, bidirectional:
    • ftp1.blackbaud.com
    • desftp.blackbaud.com
  3. Ensure that all workstations needing access to the Data Health Center can communicate bidirectionally on the following port:
    • 22
