Download and install the latest service pack, which contains all fixes from previous service packs. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the service pack.
There are some code tables that will be reset to alpha order as a side-effect of the fix for this problem. The sort orders will need to be reset as a post-upgrade task when going to version 4.0 SP7 or higher.
The following steps are suggested. Please note, the files referenced in these steps are attached to this Knowledgebase article in file "97353.zip":
1. Run 97353CustomSortedTables.SQL and retrieve results
2. Review ImpactedCodeTablesSetToAlpha.txt
3. Any code tables that appear in both files will require manual update after upgrade
