Error: You cannot register a constituent or guest for the same event more than once - when adding a registrant to a fundraising event

When adding a registrant to a fundraising event or when changing an unnamed guest to a registrant, you may receive the error: you cannot register a constituent or guest for the same event more than once.  This indicates that person is already registered for the event, either as a guest or as a paying registrant.
The application is designed to only allow one registration per registrant for an event.  If this error occurs, the registrant can not be added, or if in batch, needs to be removed from the batch.  If, for some reason, it is desired for this constituent to have two registrations, the second registration can be changed to that of a Guest of the first registration.

Steps to Duplicate

1. On the event record, click on the Registrations tab
2. Click Add
3. Enter the name of a registrant who is already registered for the event in the Registrant field
4. Select a Registration option
5. Save
6. Observe error
