Error: Required field missing: Appeal – when entering Constituent name or Lookup ID into Enhanced Revenue Batch

Fields in an Enhanced Revenue Batch can be marked required.  If the Appeal field is marked as required, when a constituent name or lookup ID is entered in the batch, when tabbing to the next field the error message appears, even though data is still being entered.
To get around this message, try one of the following:
  • Change Appeal to be not required in the template. Or
  • Add a default value to Appeal. Or
  • Enter the Appeal and clear the error.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Revenue functional area
  2. Select Batch entry
  3. Select Batch templates

  14. Save
  15. In the resultant batch, enter a Constituent name or a Lookup ID and then tab
  16. Observe the error appears – even though you haven’t gone to a new row, validated, or saved the batch
