Error: Unable to load data. String or binary data would be truncated - when printing tickets

You may receive the message, "Unable to load data. String or binary data would be truncated.," when trying to print tickets to an event if what you're trying to print is too long.
If there are multiple locations on the ticket that add up to more than 100 characters (including spaces or commas), the error will occur. Check the following fields and shorten the information that appears to be too long:
  • Name of the Event
  • Event Location
    • Note: Each location can only be 100 characters or less. If you enter more than 100 characters for a location, the location will truncate and only show the first 100 characters in Altru.
Shortening the fields will allow you to print the tickets.

If you would like to be able to truncate program names and locations on tickets in the future of Altru, please post an Idea to our Community page for our product developers. We encourage you to vote on this post as this is an opportunity to have a voice in the product development process. Our Product Management team uses a variety of methods to determine new features in Altru, and the ideas in the Community is one way they do this, so your vote helps Product Management prioritize the new features that we put into the product
