Recurring gifts and recurring gift payments are included in recognition summary and recognition history

When adding a recurring gift and then a payment, the recurring gift will show in the count for recognition history and recognition summary, but does not show in revenue summary. It is expected that the recurring gift itself would not show in recognition history or recognition summary, just the payments. This occurs with or without using a recognition filter.

We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future release.

 

Steps to Duplicate

Steps to duplicate:

1. Go to a constituent record

2. Add a recurring gift

3. Add a payment for that recurring gift

4. Go to revenue summary, make sure no recognition filter is set, see that the totals add up to not include the recurring gift itself

5. Go to recognition summary, make sure no recognition filter is set,  see the recognition amount and number adds up and includes the recurring gift.

6. Go to recognition history see that the count and the list displayed shows the recurring gift as well as the payment.
