How to prevent eTapestry from restricting IP Addresses through online web pages

eTapestry monitors all of your online web pages for possible fraudulent activity. When an IP address submits six failed transactions within the previous hour, eTapestry automatically blocks any traffic from that IP address for the next hour.

Important Note: This is separate from the Blackbaud Payment Service (BBPS) Blacklist. If an IP address has been removed from the BBPS Blacklist, it may still be restricted by eTapestry. Please see Error: IP address has been blacklisted due to repeated authorization failures for more information on removing an IP address from the BBPS Blacklist.
If your organization is having an event, or a workstation at the office uses online pages for data entry, you may consider turning off this feature as to not block legitimate submissions in the future.
  1. Log into eTapestry
  2. Click Management
  3. Click My Organization
  4. Click the blue eCommerce link from under your organization's header
  5. Click Manage IP Address Restrictions from under Links on the left hand side
  6. Click the Enabled link under the IP address(es) you wish to accept traffic from (if any are Enabled)
  7. Unmark the box for "Allow eTapestry to automatically create an IP Address Restriction when multiple failures for a given IP Address in a short period of time." under Settings
If you prefer to keep this feature on, but would like to accept traffic from a particular IP address, you can remove the IP address from the restricted list.
  1. Log into eTapestry
  2. Click Management
  3. Click My Organization
  4. Click the blue eCommerce link from under your organization's header
  5. Click Manage IP Address Restrictions from under Links on the left hand side
  6. Click the Enabled link under the IP address(es) you wish to accept traffic from
If needed, you can also manually add IP addresses to be restricted.

Steps to Duplicate

You will know an IP address has been restricted by eTapestry when the individual submitting on the forms receives this error:

Error Code: 75
Error Message: The submitted entry has been blocked. Please contact us for further information.
