Constituent record created for relationship in joint membership

When opening memberships from Membership module for a non-constituent spouse, users have the option to go to the constituent record of the non-constituent spouse. If the users save and close, a new constituent record is created for the spouse. The user must close without saving changes in order to prevent the constituent record from being created. 

We have evaluated this issue as a bug and we have determined it will not be addressed in the program in its current state.  In this case, we believe the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue. We strive to select the most impactful changes and issues to address with each release to accelerate the rate at which we deliver new features while sustaining the highest level of quality for our customers.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Create a constituent and their non-constituent spouse
2. Add a new membership for the constituent
3. Add a joint membership for the spouse
4. Save and close
5. Memberships > Open a membership
6. Enter last name in search window
7. Mark option to Check spouse name
8. Find Now
9. Open spouse membership
10. Click blue arrow on toolbar of spouse membership record
11. Option is present to go to Constituent record for the non-constituent spouse
12. Select option for constituent
13. Save and close, which will create a new constituent record for the spouse.
