One of our constituents wrote to us with concerns that they needed to turn browser cookies on in order to complete an action alert. Are browsers cookies required to be turned on for these alerts to function and if so why?
All of Luminate Online applications use session cookies to track the progress of the user through the session they are working on. Thus, when a user takes an action alert and clicks submit, it starts a session which is the cookie. This not only ties the session to a constituent's record but also tracks the actions that the user is taking so the system can provide the correct confirmation information such as which targets in the alert the submission actually was sent to.
