Merchandise discounts applying to multiple items in the cart

When applying a merchandise discount to an order that has multiple merchandise items you may notice that the discount applies to all of the merchandise items even though the discount is set up to apply once.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Create a Discount that applies to merchandise items
    1. Click Tickets > Tickets and merchandise Discounts > Add
    2. Choose a discount type to add. 
    3. On the add a standard discount screen make sure the discount applies to an item, and applies to merchandise
    4. Mark the limit the number of times this discount may be applied box and set it to 1.
    5. Click on the programs tab and add a program to the discount
    6. Click save
  2. Click sales > Daily Sales
  3. Select a merchandise item
  4. Apply the merchandise discount
  5. Select another merchandise item
You may notice that the new merchandise item will be discounted even though the discount is set to be applied once
