Starting on date for pledges download into batch with incorrect date

On Online Express forms with pledges enabled, when a donor has an installment schedule for multiple dates, the gift is downloaded with the incorrect starting on date for the pledge.  

In a batch created from Online Express donations, users may see the Error: The starting on date cannot be less than the gift date when trying to navigate within the batch. 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Alternative Solution:
  • In the batch, highlight the row containing the pledge
  • From the menu bar, go to Gift> Installment Information
  • Update the Starting on date to match the Gift Date
  • Click OK

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Enable pledges on the Online Express donation form
  2. When entering a pledge donation, enter an installment schedule that has multiple dates, such as Monthly installments for 4 months. 
  3. Download the transaction into a batch in Raiser's Edge
  4. In the batch, highlight the row containing the pledge, and from the menu bar go to Gift> Installment Information
  5. Note that the Starting on date is 1 day prior to the gift date
  6. Click OK and error occurs
