When posting to the General Ledger and selecting the Quickbooks output format, all transactions are going to the date on the TRNS line even though the actual transaction date may be different. For example, the file may look like this:
TRNS 1/1 SPL 2/1 SPL 2/1 ENDTRNS
In this scenario, all transactions are dated 1/1 when imported to Quickbooks although they are for 2/1. According to Intuit, the format should be the following:
TRNS 2/1 SPL 2/1 SPL 2/1 ENDTRNS
The file should repeat the above format for each additional date.
Download and install the latest patch which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Create a few payments with different post dates and save to constituent records 2. Go to Revenue> Post to General Ledger 3. Select the Intuit QuickBooks® (IIF) post format 4. Post 6. Download the file-notice the top line is a TRNS line-when the file is imported into quickbooks, all transactions are assigned this date
