A title tag is what our page titles are set to, and H1 Headers are within the body of the page. Title tags and headers are programmed as follows:
  • Title Tags appear in search engines and the Web browser’s title bar
  • H1 Headers appear within the body text of the webpage
  • Search engines give more weight to Title Tags than H1 Headers
The Page Title widget that can be added to a page when editing the content is the page header and it is rendered in an <h1> tag. To confirm a page is set up with this tag, right click the title on a page, choosing "Inspect element" from the menu that pops up, and check that the text is in a tag that starts with <h1>. The class names tell the browser how it should look and have no effect on SEO results.
