You may receive this error message when trying to refund a payment with multiple payment methods. Error: Data could not be saved. Please make sure the total payment amount equals the refund total.
This error occurs when the refund amount under Items to be refunded section of the refunds page does not equal the amount listed under the payment details portion of the page. You will want to ensure that the amount listed under items to refund corresponds to the amount you are refunding in the payment details section. Once you have done this you should successfully be able to process the refund.
