Error: Data could not be saved. Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'BIRTHDATE', table 'XXX.dbo.CONSTITUENT'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails - When committing constituent update batch

When committing a constituent update batch, you may end up with an exceptions batch with the following error: 

Data could not be saved. Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'BIRTHDATE', table '10804_0f91d835-a511-4d46-a810-7c8bd01c0918.dbo.CONSTITUENT'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails.
This was resolved in the latest release of Altru. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Revenue tab
  2. Click Batch entry
  3. Click add and select Constituent update batch
  4. Enter information for constituent and click validate
  5. Save and close
  6. In Batch entry, expand batch and click commit
  7. See exception batch with error
