Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud’s School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. This primarily affects users performing administrative tasks—constituent navigation for most parents, students, faculty, and alumni will remain the same. We appreciate your patience as we work to update our documentation. If you are seeing this message, the content of this solution is still being vetted for possible updates. Please refer to this mapping document if you need assistance finding a task in the new navigation.
When the Grade Book calculation method is set to Percentage the cumulative contains that percentage beginning at 100% before assignment grades are added.
Percentage calculation method will show the cumulative grade unchanged if the grade received on the assignment is at max points, when a lower grade is received, this will reduce the cumulative amount.
For example: If an assignment type is set to calculate 50% of the grade, when an assignment has max points of 25 and max points are added to the grade book, the grade is not calculated into the cumulative average because ti's already included in the cumulative calculation at 50% of the total. If the points earned for the assignment is lower, it will reduce or the cumulative.
