When importing email addresses using an import template with the constituent update batch that has the Email field marked as required in the batch template, the error "Required field missing: Collection field columns" when attempting to save the import template after uploading the csv file. This does not occur if the Email field is not marked as required in the Constituent Update Batch template.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future release.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Edit the Constituent Update batch template to make the Email field required 2. Create a new import template using the Constituent Update Batch template. Map the following fields:
Constituent, Constituent type, Lookup ID, Last Name, First Name, Email addresses. For email addresses map 1 address: Email Type, Email address and Email primary field.
3. Upload a csv file to the import template that has addresses in it making sure that the csv file has the fields above with data. 4. Click save, see the error occur.
Workaround: do not mark the email field as required in the Constituent Update Batch template. Re-create the import template using the Constituent Update Batch template with the email field not required.
