If you want to preview the merge letter created in Word prior to sending the email to the donor, run receipts in Mail twice:

  • In the first run, leave the Send as eReceipts checkbox on the eReceipts tab unmarked. After you click Next on the "Welcome to the Mail Merge Wizard" screen, be sure to click No when prompted, "Would you like to mark the gifts as having been receipted?". Review the merge letter to make sure everything looks OK. For more information on printing receipts, refer to "How to print receipts in Mail."
  • In the second run, follow all steps How to send eReceipts including step 4 where you mark the Send as eReceipts checkbox on the eReceipts tab.
